Women's Basketball Set To Host 8th Annual Pink Out Game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's basketball team hosts its 8th annual Pink Out game on February 21 at 2 p.m. against North Dakota State. The luncheon will begin at noon in the International Ballroom. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to support breast cancer awareness and $1 from every ticket sold will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. There will be an on-court ceremony to honor breast cancer survivors during halftime of the game. More information on the event, including the luncheon, can be found here.

After a 5-for-6 night at the free throw line against IUPUI, IPFW guard Haley Seibert ranks fifth among NCAA Division I players in free throw percent at 91.8, for games played through February 19.
Seibert has connected on 112-of-122 attempts for the year, which includes a run of 54 consecutive made. Seibert trails national leader Arlesia Morse of Marquette, who has made 124-of-133 attempts for a 93.2 percent. To qualify for the national rankings, players must make a minimum of 2.5 free throws per game and play in 75% of their team's games.
Three-Point Streak...
The IPFW Mastodons have made a 3-point field goal in 491 straight contests, a stretch that ranks as the second longest active streak in NCAA Division I. Iowa State's streak is at the top of the list by making a 3-point field goal in 637 consecutive games. Sam Houston State had its 583 game streak snapped against Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Feb. 7, shooting 0-of-15 from beyond the arc.
Seibert Shoots into the top-10
With 22 points against IUPUI on Feb. 11, Haley Seibert jumped to ninth all-time among IPFW players in career scoring, passing Rhonda Unverferth (1982-85) with 1,293 points. The senior has accumulated 1,312 points as a Mastodon. She sits behind Teena Merrell (1986-90) who has 1,480 points.
