Mastodons Open MIVA Tournament against Lindenwood

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 15th-ranked (American Volleyball Coaches Association) IPFW men's volleyball team beings its MIVA Tournament run when the Mastodons host Lindenwood on April 24 in the quarterfinals. First serve is set for 7 p.m. in the Hillard Gates Center.
• The Blue and White are 24-26 all-time in the MIVA Tournament, including five championships.
• Andrew Sellan, Luis Bertran, Alex Harthaller, and Omar Rivera were each named to the Second Team All-MIVA.
• Alex Harthaller was named to the Freshman All-America Team from Off the Block. Harthaller leads the 'Dons with 38 serving aces.
• IPFW currently sits 15th in the AVCA Coaches Poll and 11th in the NCAA RPI rankings.
• The Mastodons are 4-2 all-time against Grand Canyon, including a season sweep over the Lions this year.
• IPFW seniors have combined for a 65-45 record entering the week.
• Luis Bertran is seventh in active career leaders for most digs, and the most among non-seniors, with 681.
• Omar Rivera is third among active career leaders in assists, with 3,822.

Bertran leads the MIVA with 272 digs. Harthaller is top-10 in MIVA kills (310), points (371.5), and aces (38). Rivera is second in the MIVA with 946 assists.
