Scouting the Mastodons
The IPFW men's soccer team enters the match after suffering a heart breaking 3-2 loss at Bowling Green on Friday night. Austin West and Jose Rodriguez lead the Mastodons with three goals each, while Zach Tom is tied with six points coming off two goals and two assists. Raphael Kotzock has been a mainstay in net, making 25 saves for a 1.77 goals against average.Scouting the Musketeers
Xavier enters the night on a three-match winning streak, which included a 1-0 upset at No. 2 Notre Dame on September 15. The Musketeers are 5-2-0 on the season, win wins over Wisconsin and Cincinnati, as well as an 8-0 drubbing over Summit League foe Eastern Illinois. Xavier is led by Alex Risdale's nine points, coming off four goals and an assist. Both Jalen Brown and Cory Brown have two assists each for the Musketeers. The Xavier goalie position has been a rotation of four student-athletes, with Dallas Jaye and Vince Shaw splitting most of the time in net, each starting three matches. Jayne has been a standout in goal, making eight saves for a 0.33 goals against average and two shutouts, including the 1-0 blanking at Notre Dame.Series History

IPFW opens Summit League play at Omaha on October 3 at 8 p.m. The Mastodons topped the Mavericks last year on senior day, 1-0, in Fort Wayne to help secure the No. 4 seed in the Summit League Championships for the Blue and White.
