FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- IPFW, ranked No. 21 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, will welcome in-state opponent IUPUI in Summit League men's basketball action on Saturday night, January 23, at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center on campus in Fort Wayne beginning at 7 p.m. The Mastodons (16-5, 5-1 Summit League) of second-year head coach Jon Coffman have been led in scoring by redshirt-senior Max Landis/Indianapolis (17.4), redshirt-freshman John Konchar/Chicago, Ill. (12.5) along with senior Joe Reed/Greenwood (10.8). The Jaguars (8-13, 4-2 Summit League) are coached by Jason Gardner, who is in his second season, and have been led in scoring by junior Darell Combs (15.8).

Last Time Out
Landis scored 17 points to lead IPFW to a 79-74 Summit League home victory past North Dakota State. The well-played contest featured 10 lead changes and seven ties throughout, as IPFW started fast and led by as many as seven points in the first half. It was 17-10 at 13:38 after a three-point field goal by DeAngelo Stewart, and it was 22-15 at 11:01 following a jumper from Charles Ruise Jr. NDSU used a 13-2 run to go ahead 28-24 at 5:49, but the Mastodons battled back to lead 34-33 at 2:57 after a three-pointer by Konchar. The Bison, though, took a 37-36 lead at the intermission and NDSU continued its momentum to begin the second half, scoring 10 unanswered points to take its largest lead of the game at 53-46 with 15:39 remaining. The Bison still led by five points at 59-54 with 10:23 left, however, IPFW displayed the resilience it has demonstrated all season and responded with a 14-3 run to lead 68-62 at 1:27 following a pair of free throws by Landis, who gave the hosts the lead for good at 63-62 (6:02) on a layup.
