
IPFW Continues Non-Conference EIVA Road Slate

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's volleyball team continues its non-conference road slate with matches at George Mason and NJIT, both of the EIVA (Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association). The Mastodons will face the Patriots on Friday, January 29, followed by the Highlanders on Saturday, January 30. Both matches are set for 7 p.m.

The Mastodons are 24-23 all-time against George Mason, including wins in their previous three meetings with the Patriots. With a win Friday night, IPFW will tie its longest winning-streak against George Mason set in 1989-90 and 1996-2000. During the 1989-90 stretch, none of the four matches during the winning-streak were held at either university's home court, as all four matches were at a neutral site. IPFW is 9-6 all-time in the state of New Jersey with a 2-1 record at NJIT. The Mastodons also have wins over Penn State, George Mason, and Rutgers-Newark within the Garden State. With his performance at No. 10 Penn State (Jan. 23), Andrew Sellan became the 18th men's volleyball student-athlete in IPFW history to reach 1,000 career kills. Additionally, Sellan became just the seventh Mastodon to reach the 1,000 kill milestone in the rally scoring era (2001-present).
