Scouting the Razorbacks
Arkansas won a pair of exhibition games in October, topping NCAA Division II foes Central Missouri (87-60) and Emporia State (94-44). The Razorbacks play eight of their first nine first games at home at Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks were picked for fifth in the SEC Preseason Poll.
Scouting The Mastodons
Fort Wayne concluded last season with the program's first ever NIT berth. The 'Dons earned a share of the Summit League regular season crown in 2015-16.

Fort Wayne picked up a 97-67 exhibition victory over Capital on Nov. 3. The Mastodons made 14-of-28 3-point attempts against Capital, a NCAA Division III school from Columbus, Ohio. Mo Evans led Fort Wayne with 21 points, six assists and four rebounds. The 'Dons went 21-of-32 from the free throw line.

Two Mastodons earned Preseason All-Summit League accolades. John Konchar was named to the 2016-17 Summit League Preseason First Team. Mo Evans picked up second team accolades. Konchar averaged 13.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game on his way to 2015-16 Summit League First Team honors last year. Evans averaged 16.9 points per game last year while adding better than five assists per contest.

The 2016-17 season will see Bryson Scott hit the floor for the first time as a Mastodon. The Fort Wayne native and Northrop High School graduate transfered from Purdue. He sat out last season as a redshirt due to NCAA transfer rules.
