
Men’s Volleyball Prepares for 1,000th Program Match

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's volleyball continues its MIVA (Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) opening weekend with a trip to Lebanon, Illinois, to face the McKendree Bearcats on Saturday, February 6, at 8 p.m. ET. The match will mark the 1,000th program match for IPFW, making the Mastodons just the third team in the MIVA, and fifth team outside of California to reach the mark.

Solid as a Rock...
Head coach Ryan "Rock" Perrotte is in his 17th year with IPFW, and first as the head coach. During his time as a Mastodon, Perrotte has been a part of 433 matches, going 260-173 (.600). As a student-athlete, Perrotte helped the 'Dons to a 22-5 record in 1999, winning the MIVA Tournament and reaching the NCAA Final Four against Long Beach State (L, 3-2). As an assistant coach, Perrotte helped the Blue and White win back-to-back MIVA Tournaments, reaching the NCAA Final Four in 2006 and 2007.
