IPFW Travels to Lindenwood and Quincy for Crucial MIVA Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's volleyball team will travel to Lindenwood and Quincy for a pair of MIVA (Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) matches as each of the three teams are competing for a spot in the MIVA Tournament. The Mastodons will first face Lindenwood on Friday, April 1, followed by Quincy on Saturday, April 2. Each match is set for 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

IPFW looks to avenge an early season loss to Lindenwood as the Lions have taken the previous two meetings over the Mastodons, including the 2015 MIVA Quarterfinals, 3-2, in Fort Wayne. The Lions also earned a 30 sweep over the 'Dons earlier this season to tie the all-time series with IPFW at 4-4.In The Show Me State...
The Mastodons holds a 2-1 all-time record in the state of Missouri, with each match at Lindenwood. The previous two visits to St. Charles have ended in an IPFW sweep, with the only loss in Missouri occurring on April 5, 2013, when the 'Dons dropped their first away meeting with the Lions, 3-1.Like a Hawk...
The Blue and White have gone a combined 24-2 in the previous 26 meetings with Quincy, while leading the overall series 43-5. Solid as a Rock...
Head coach Ryan "Rock" Perrotte is in his 17th year with IPFW, and first as the head coach. During his time as a Mastodon, Perrotte has been a part of 446 matches, going 265-184 (.590). As a student-athlete, Perrotte helped the 'Dons to a 22-5 record in 1999, winning the MIVA Tournament and reaching the NCAA Final Four against Long Beach State (L, 3-2). As the assistant coach, Perrotte helped the Blue and White win back-to-back MIVA Tournaments and reaching the NCAA Final Four in 2006 and 2007. During those seasons, the 'Dons went a combined 46-15, reaching the NCAA Championship against UC Irvine in 2007.~ Feel the Rumble ~
