
Softball to Host Annual Pink Out Game During Omaha Series

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW softball team will host Omaha for a Summit League series April 2-3. Saturday's doubleheader will also be IPFW's annual Pink Out game to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation. There will be silent auction items available to bid on during the first game and fans are encouraged to wear pink.

Omaha enters the weekend with a 14-19 record. The Mavericks are coming off a two game sweep over IUPUI in Omaha to kickoff conference play. Omaha defeated IUPUI in a doubleheader on Friday, before Saturday's contest was rained out. The Omaha offense leads the Summit League in almost every category. The Mavericks lead the league in doubles (46), extra base hits (84), hits (228), home runs (30), runs (162), RBI (152), slugging percentage (.441), triples (8), and total bases (380). UNO also leads the league in shutouts with four.
