Rafuse Tops For ‘Dons At Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Emma Rafuse led the Fort Wayne women's cross country squad on Friday (Sept. 16) in the Mel Brodt Invitational hosted by Bowling Green. She finished 22nd with a time of 19:03.8. Kailee Schoof was right behind Rafuse, taking 23rd in a 19:04.6 performance.
Morgan Blyly ran the 5,000-meter course in 19:19.3 for 26th. Rebecca Sippel earned a 27th place showing, stopping the clock in 19:25.9. Breanna Fensler (34th, 20:41.2), Caitlyn Kiekhaefer (35th, 20:52.0), Danielle Frank (36th, 20:54.9), Brittany Fensler (37th, 21:58.6) and Hannah Aschliman (38th, 22:00.3) followed in order.
No team scores were kept in the event.
Friday's meet was the third contest in as many weeks for the 'Dons. They now take a few weeks off before hitting the course again on Oct. 1 at the Greater Louisville Classic.
