ABOUT THE MASTODONS (3-6-4, 0-2-1 Summit League)
The Fort Wayne men's soccer team welcomes Denver to town on Saturday. Oscar Uyamadu and Romain Lopez lead the Mastodons in goals as each have three on the season. Zach Tom leads the squad with four assists. Fort Wayne has earned 78 corner kicks on the year with an equal 37 in each half and four in extra time.
ABOUT THE PIONEERS (6-6-0, 1-0-0 Summit League)
Denver finished last year in the national semifinals after falling to Wake Forest 2-1 in extra time. They opened the season with wins over ranked foes Florida Golf Coast and Akron but enter Saturday's contest at .500. They fell at Tulsa on Wednesday 2-1. The Pioneers earned a 1-0 win over Eastern Illinois in their only Summit League contest of the year.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Denver leads the all-time series 5-0. Only two of those games (2013 and 2015) have come in Fort Wayne. The two clubs played an epic contest last season with the 'Dons falling 4-3 on Sept. 24. Denver's game winning goal came in the 79th minute on a free kick. The three goals Fort Wayne scored were the only goals the Pioneers gave up in conference play all of last season.
