Emma Rafuse Guides Women’s Cross Country At Regional Event

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Emma Rafuse led the Fort Wayne women's cross country squad at the 2017 NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday (Nov. 10) afternoon. The event was hosted by Indiana State University.
Rafuse finished with a time of 21:24 for 39th place in the 6K meet. Rebecca Sippel was next best for the 'Dons, crossing the finish line in 23:49 for 171st. Sophia Hirzel ran a time of 23:56, three spots behind Sippel. Hannah Aschliman finished in 176th (23:59). Danielle Frank earned 198th (25:10) and Caitlyn Kiekhaefer took finished in 25:39.
As a team, the Mastodons finished 27th with a point total of 758. Michigan won the regional (71 points).
The meet concludes the 2017 season for the 'Dons.
