The Mastodons were up 5-2 entering the seventh inning thanks to a five-run first inning for the 'Dons. The first inning featured six Mastodon hits. Dylan Wilbert had a two-RBI single in the frame.
But the game changed in the seventh when Canisius scored 10 runs.
Offensively, each of Fort Wayne's starters reached base. Jackson Boyce, Brandon Yoho, James Spera and Wilbert each recorded two hits.
Jared Kennedy threw three innings in relief to get the win for Canisius. He is now 1-0. Tanner Hart is 0-2 for Fort Wayne.
Canisius improves to 6-2. Fort Wayne falls to 3-5. The 'Dons return to action on Friday (March 3) at Little Rock for the start of a four-game set.
