Coleman Wins Long Jump For The Mastodons At Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. – Sophomore Olivia Coleman won the long jump thanks to a 5.50 meter effort at the Ball State Challenge on Saturday (April 15) for the Fort Wayne women's track and field team.
Madison Fruchey took second in the 3000 meter steeplechase, notching a time of 11:42.31. She was also 10th with a time of 4:41.22 in the 1500 meters.
Haley Albright earned eighth in the pole vault (3.10 meters). Also eighth, was Rebecca Sippel in the 5,000 meters (19:09.42) and Jenna Quillen in the 400 meter hurdles (1:07.79).
The meet was scored as a dual meet. The 'Dons defeated IUPUI 83-18 and Butler 84-35. They fell to Eastern Michigan 106-59, Ball State 97-55, Toledo 77-61 and Western Michigan 114-55.
Fort Wayne is back on the track next Saturday on April 22 at Illinois.
