ABOUT THE MASTODONS (1-0-1, 0-0-0 Summit League)
The Fort Wayne men's soccer team earned decisions in each of their first two contests, tying Wright State and defeating Dayton. The last time the 'Dons earned decisions in each of the first two matches of the season was in 2014 with a victory over Saint Joseph's and a tie against Western Michigan.
ABOUT THE NORSE (1-1-0, 0-0-0 Horizon League)
Northern Kentucky started the season with a 2-1 win over NCAA Division II Oakland City and a loss to UC Irvine 5-2. Rikard Lindqvist has three goals on the young season for the Norse.
FRESHMAN KEEPER SWITCHEROO
The Mastodons have started a different freshman goalkeeper in each game this season. Brendan Stangel made his collegiate debut against Wright State, earning a shutout while adding seven saves. Will Hathaway started against Dayton and also recorded seven saves.
