SCOUTING THE MASTODONS (6-6-1, 0-2-0 Summit):
The Mastodons' last game was a 3-0 loss at Marshall on Tuesday night (Oct. 9). The 'Dons currently have 27 goals on the season with goals contributed by seven different players. Matthew Lieshout leads the team with nine, Blake Cearns has five, Romain Lopez follows closely behind with four, Alex Frank has three, and Chris Baranowski, Zach Tom, and Ryan Bernt each have two. Just five assists away from tying a single-season school record, Romain Lopez leads the team and ranks eighth in the nation with seven assists. Freshman keeper Tor Erik Larsen continues to lead the Mastodons in the goal with 72 saves, keeping him ranked first in the league and second in the nation.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES (6-3-2, 0-0-1 Summit):
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a two week break after a 4-1 win at Valparaiso on October 1. Dante Brigida leads the team with six goals, and Junior Chaves follows closely behind with five goals. Chaves also adds four assists on the season so far to match Tanguy Guerineau who also has four assists. In the goal, freshman Miles Motakef leads the team with 47 saves. Motakef is ranked first in the league with a .825 save percentage. Oral Robert's only Summit League game this season is a 1-1 tie with Western Illinois on Sept. 29.

Oral Roberts leads the series 7-3-2. The last win came on October 1, 2016 in Fort Wayne with a final score of 3-1. The Mastodons have won their last two home games against the Golden Eagles.

Romain Lopez' seven assists are tops in the Summit League. It also already has him tied for seventh all-time in program history for most assists in one season. One Mastodon he is tied with is his head coach. Mike Harper had seven assists in 1996. Next on the single-season list with eight assists is Harper, again, in 1995, as well as associate head coach Bronn Pfeiffer who had eight assists in 1986. The single-season record for assists is Juan Diaz. He had 12 in 1984.
