HUNTINGTON, W.V. – Purdue Fort Wayne dropped a non-league game at Conference USA member Marshall on Tuesday (Oct. 9) evening 3-0.
The Mastodons recorded 10 shots with Romain Lopez taking three. All three of Lopez' shots were on goal. Andy O'Donoghue also had a shot on goal.
All three Thundering Herd goals came in the first half. Jamil Roberts took a pass from Jan-Erik Leinhos in the 17thminute for the first goal. Marshall made it 2-0 with a goal by JP Rylah in the 21stminute. The third and final tally came in the final minute of the first half. Pedro Dolabella scored on a goal assisted by Leinhos.
Each team took two corners in the game.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 6-6-1. Marshall improves to 4-5-2. The 'Dons are back in action on Saturday (Oct. 13) against Oral Roberts. Kick is set for 7 p.m. It will be a doubleheader with the Purdue Fort Wayne women hosting Eastern Illinois at 3 p.m.
