North Dakota State Takes Summit League Game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fort Wayne baseball fell to North Dakota State 15-0 on Saturday (March 24) on a sub-40 degree day at Mastodon Field.
NDSU scored one in the first and two in the second to open up the scoring. A three-run third-inning provided additional run support for starter Blake Stockert (2-1). Stockert went six innings for the win for NDSU. Jayse McLean had three hits and three runs scored for the Bison.
Fort Wayne recorded 10 hits in the game. Jack Lang and Jacob Dickson each had two hits for the 'Dons. Fort Wayne had scoring chances but stranded runners in six of the seven innings.
Damian Helm (2-4) suffered the loss after 2.1 innings of work.
Fort Wayne falls to 4-14 (0-5 Summit League). NDSU is now 10-11 (3-2 Summit League). Fort Wayne and NDSU will play on Sunday (March 25) at 1 p.m. at Mastodon Field.
