MURRAY, Ky. – Fort Wayne fell to Murray State 13-2 in a non-conference baseball game on Sunday (March 4) afternoon. Brock Logan had a hit and two RBI for the Mastodons.
The 'Dons tied the game at one with a single run in the third. Brock Logan used a sacrifice fly to score Jack Lang. Lang had singled and advanced to third on a double by Travis Upp.
Murray State took the lead back in the bottom half of the third with a two-spot. Then added three more in the fourth to make the score 6-1. It would be all the offense Murray State would need. Fort Wayne's final run came in the seventh on an RBI single by Logan to score Garrett Mohler.
Shane Odzark started for the 'Dons and threw 2.0 innings. He allowed three runs and was given the loss.
Murray State starter Trevor McMurray picked up the victory after six innings of work.
Murray State improves to 7-5. Fort Wayne falls to 3-7. The 'Dons are back next weekend (March 9-11) in a non-league three-game series at Butler.
