Oral Roberts Takes Summit League Game From Fort Wayne 11-1

TULSA, Okla. – Fort Wayne baseball dropped the middle game of three-game set to Oral Roberts on Saturday (April 14) afternoon 11-1 in eight innings.
Unlike a night before when the Mastodons opened the scoring, Oral Roberts was first on the scoreboard on Saturday thanks to two runs in the first inning. The Golden Eagles added one in the third, four in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the eighth to end the contest.
Fort Wayne's tally came in the seventh. Brock Logan walked and then Travis Upp hit a double to left center on a full count. It scored Logan.
Spenser Henson and Nick Rotola each had three hits for Oral Roberts.
Damian Helm earned the loss for the 'Dons in five innings of work. He is 2-6. Dalton O'Boyle tossed two scoreless innings. Miguel Ausua went 7.0 innings for the victory. He is 5-1.
Oral Roberts is now 19-14 (10-4 Summit). The 'Dons fall to 6-23 (2-12 Summit). The two teams will conclude the three-game set on Sunday.
