Final Contest Of Three-Game Set Goes To Oral Roberts

TULSA, Okla. – Fort Wayne baseball dropped a Summit League game at Oral Roberts on Sunday (April 15) afternoon 12-1.
The Golden Eagles scored a single run in the first and went up 4-0 thanks to three runs in the third. The big inning came in the sixth when ORU scored five runs. Cal Hernandez had three hits. Riley Keizor totaled 4 RBI in the seven-inning contest.
Shannon Baker walked twice for the Mastodons. Baker came around to score on an RBI single by Dylan Wilbert. Brock Logan also earned a single and a walk.
Shane Odzark (1-5) went five innings for Fort Wayne. He suffered the loss. Justin McGregor (3-1) started for ORU. He earned the win with 6.1 innings of work.
Oral Roberts moves to 20-14 (10-4 Summit League). The 'Dons are now 6-24 (2-13 Summit). Fort Wayne returns to action on Tuesday (April 17) in a 3 p.m. first pitch vs. IU South Bend. It will be the first of eight-consecutive home games for the 'Dons.
