Mastodons Overwhelm Saint Francis in Exhibition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After a weather delay, Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer overwhelmed Saint Francis (Ind.) 6-0 on Saturday night (Aug. 11) at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
Freshman Kayla Wisniewski scored three goals off the bench, the game-winner coming just before the 35-minute lightning delay in the first half. The 'Dons scored five more goals after halftime. Wisniewski added two while Breanna Buche, Kendall Quinn and Allyson Hayner each netted one. Deanna Hecht and Quinn had two assists each.
The Mastodons dominated the shot battle 39-1 with 28 shots on goal. The 'Dons took 12 corners while the Cougars took none.
Purdue Fort Wayne begins the regular season with a match against Ball State on Friday (Aug. 17) at Hefner Soccer Complex at 5 p.m.
