GREEN BAY, Wis. – A day after earning the No. 8 spot in the first RPI rankings of the season, Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer turned to jersey number eight Matthew Lieshout for his eighth goal of the season and a 1-0 win at Green Bay on Tuesday (Sept. 25).

Lieshout scored on a header in the 77^thminute to give the 'Dons the only goal they would need. Romain Lopez picked up the assist on the goal, delivering a free kick to Lieshout. Lopez owns a Summit League-best seven assists on the season.

The 'Dons picked up the win over Green Bay thanks to a shutout from reigning Summit League Defensive Player of the Week Tor Erik Larsen. The Purdue Fort Wayne freshman goalkeeper recorded five saves for his second shutout in three games.

Purdue Fort Wayne improves to 6-3-0. The Phoenix fall to 5-3-1.

The 'Dons open Summit League play on Saturday (Sept. 29) against Omaha. Start time at the Hefner Soccer Complex is set for 7 p.m.
