Track Celebrates Senior Day At Mastodon Invite

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Emma Rafuse celebrated her Senior Day at the Mastodon Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 19) with a pair of victories and a school record. The Mastodons took third at the home meet with 29 points, edging IUPUI, Evansville and Huntington.
Logan Kitchen, Hope Crabtree, Caitlyn Kiekhaefer, Olivia Coleman and Rafuse were honored during Senior Day festivities.
Rafuse ran the mile in a time of 4:50.00 to take first and break her own school record. She won the race by 17 seconds. Rafuse ran a time of 9:53.99 for a PR in the 3,000 meters. She won the event by more than 30 seconds.
Coleman took third in the long jump with a leap of 5.34 meters.
Ally Bailey took second in the 200 meters (26.36). Right behind her was teammate Lexi O'Connell (26.87).
Savannah Girolami earned second in the 400 meters, stopping the clock in 1:02.18.
O'Connell ran a time of 9.19 in the 60 hurdles to take second.
Purdue Fort Wayne's 4x400 relay squad was also second, notching a time of 4:07.89.
The 'Dons are back in action on Feb. 1-2 at the Akron Invitational.
