Omaha Uses Second-Half Tally to Defeat Mastodons 1-0

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha used a goal in the 73rd minute to edge Purdue Fort Wayne in a Summit League men's soccer match on Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon.
The defensive battle featured only four shots on goal in the entire game.
Gonzalo Ledesma scored for the Mavericks in the 73rd minute. Ed Gordon and Aaron Uribe assisted on the goal. Purdue Fort Wayne held possession for the majority of the contest after Ledesma's goal, but the 'Dons couldn't find the equalizer.
Omaha had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Omaha improves to 3-6-2 (2-0-0 Summit). The 'Dons fall to 3-10-0 (0-2-0 Summit). The 'Dons have their first home Summit League match of the year on Saturday (Oct. 19) at 7 p.m. against Western Illinois.
