Men's Soccer Match At Northern Kentucky Moved Up One Day To Tuesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 'Dons head to Northern Kentucky for the final non-league game of the season. The match was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30 but has now been moved up a day to Tuesday, Oct. 29 due to predicted weather in the Highland Heights area.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS (3-12-0, 0-3-0 Summit League)
Tuesday's tilt will not only be Purdue Fort Wayne's final non-league game, it will also be their final road contest of the season. Tor Erik Larsen is third in the nation in total saves with 80.
SCOUTING THE NORSE (4-10-1, 2-5-0 Horizon League)
The Norse are on a five-match skid after dropping a league match at Milwaukee on Saturday 2-1. The Norse were down 2-0 before Alex Greive scored his 11th goal of the season thanks to a goal in the 76th minute. Greive leads the Horizon League in goals.
SERIES HISTORY
Northern Kentucky leads 16-4-4. The two clubs have a long history with the majority of contests being played when both teams were members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in Division II. Since 2012 Purdue Fort Wayne and Northern Kentucky have played every season. That streak will continue next year when they become league members once again in the Horizon League.
AWARDS SZN
The Mastodons have taken a pair of Summit League Player of the Week honors this year. Blake Cearns took the honor on September 16 after scoring two goals in a win over Belmont. Goalkeeper Tor Erik Larsen added the Defensive Player of the Week accolade a week later after a shutout of Green Bay and nine saves against Northern Illinois.
