Detroit Mercy Edges Purdue Fort Wayne Men’s Soccer 1-0

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Detroit Mercy broke a scoreless game in the final minute to take a non-league match from the Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team 1-0 on Friday (Oct. 4) evening.
The match stayed scoreless thanks in part to the play of goalkeeper Tor Erik Larsen. The sophomore finished with nine saves including a diving save with just under 30 minutes left in the contest.
The goal scorer for the Titans was Demetri Pliakos. He scored with just under a minute left in the game off a wild scramble right infront of the goal. He had a game-high six shots in the contest.
Emil Fosse had two shots for the Mastodons.
Detroit Mercy improves to 3-6-1. Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 3-8-0. The Mastodons are back in action on Tuesday (Oct. 8) at Notre Dame.
