'Dons Travel To Notre Dame On Tuesday Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team will take a quick trip west to play at Notre Dame on Tuesday night.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS (3-8-0, 0-1-0 Summit League)
Tor Erik Larsen is third in the nation and is tied for the league lead with 56 saves. The 'Dons close out a stretch of three straight non-league games on Tuesday at Notre Dame. Alex Frank leads the team with four goals.
SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH (5-4-1, 0-4-0 ACC)
Jack Lynn leads the Fighting Irish with four goals. Felicien Dumas has three goals and two assists on the year on 12 shots. Notre Dame has victories over Saint Louis, Seattle U, Denver, Michigan State and DePaul. They have dropped ACC contests to Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia and NC State.
SERIES HISTORY
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 7-1-0. Each of the matches came between 1974 and 1984. The Mastodons' only win came Sept. 6, 1983 with a 1-0 decision in Fort Wayne. The only contest between the two teams as Division I members came Aug. 29, 2010 when the 'Dons fell 3-0 in an exhibition contest at Hefner.
AWARDS SZN
The Mastodons have already taken home a pair of Summit League Player of the Week honors this year. Blake Cearns took home the honor on September 16 after scoring two goals in a win over Belmont. Goalkeeper Tor Erik Larsen added the Defensive Player of the Week accolade a week later after a shutout of Green Bay and nine saves against Northern Illinois.
