Mastodons Drop Series Opener To Oral Roberts

Oral Roberts opened the scoring with nine runs in the first inning.
Both of Purdue Fort Wayne's runs came in the third when Brunson doubled in Travis Upp and Jacob Dickson.
Oral Roberts finished with three home runs on the day. Trevor McCutchin and Anthony Martinez both had grand slams. Riley Keizor also had a home run.
Garrett Mohler totaled two hits on the day. Upp had a walk in addition to his run scored.
Cameron Boyd took the loss while Josh McMinn earned the win for the Golden Eagles. Oral Roberts improves to 20-18 (11-8 Summit League). The Mastodons fall to 5-34 (0-19 Summit League).
The 'Dons and Oral Roberts will play a doubleheader on Saturday (April 27). The start time has been moved up an hour to 11 a.m.
