Emma Rafuse Notches 5K School Record

HILLSDALE, Mich. – Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field's Emma Rafuse set a school record at the Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale College.
Rafuse set the record in the 5K in a first place performance with a time of 16:25.52. Rafuse also won the 1500 meters (4:33.86).
The 200 meters saw the Mastodons go fifth and sixth, respectively. Ally Bailey grabbed fifth (25.44) and Olivia Coleman was sixth (25.45).
Bailie Brown earned a personal record in the 5K, stopping the clock in 19:14.45.
The Mastodons took second in the 4x100 with a season best time of 48.18 thanks to the performance of Rachel Pierre-Louis, Coleman, Lexi O'Connell and Ally Bailey.
Purdue Fort Wayne also had a second place performance in the 4x200 relay. Coleman, O'Connell, Savannah Girolami and Bailey notched a time of 1:41.53.
The 'Dons are back in action on May 8th at the Summit League Outdoor Championships.
