The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team travels to Macomb, Illinois for the Summit League Outdoor Championships May 9-10.

About The Meet: In her last Summit League Championship, Emma Rafuse will be competing in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters. Rafuse's 5K time of 16:25.52 at Hillsdale ranks third in the Summit League this year. Her 1,500 time of 4:30.35 at Ball State's event is fifth in the league. Fellow senior Olivia Coleman will be closing out her collegiate career with the 200 meter dash, long jump, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 relay. Senior Caitlyn Kiekhaefer will be joining Rafuse in the 5,000 meters. Along with Coleman, Ally Bailey, Lexi O'Connell, and Rachel Pierre-Louis will be running in the 4x100 relay. Savannah Girolami will be competing in the 4x400 relay and the 400 meter dash. Lexi O'Connell will be looking to break her own school record in the 100 meter hurdles. Freshmen Bailie Brown, Natalie Dye, Brittney Hartman, and Elana Kayser will all be competing in their first Summit League Outdoor Championships. It is a three-day meet starting on Wednesday but the first Mastodon won't see action until Thursday.
Last Year's Outdoor Championship: Ally Bailey and Olivia Coleman competed in the 4x100 relay at last year's Summit League Outdoor Championships and finished fifth with a new school record of 47.79. Bailey and Coleman also ran in the 4x400 relay and finished with a season high best of 4:03.89. Emma Rafuse finished sixth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:36.31 and took seventh in the 5K notching a time of 17:45.71.
