BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Purdue Fort Wayne was edged by Bowling Green 3-1 on Tuesday (May 7) in the non-league game for the Mastodon baseball team.
Shane Odzark went eight innings for the 'Dons. He allowed three runs on six hits while striking out six Falcons. He took the loss. He found his stride after the first two innings. BGSU scored twice in the first and once in the second. Odzark put up zeros from there.
The Mastodons' run came in the eighth. Jack Lang was hit by a pitch to open the inning and then came around on a Brandon Yoho single. Yoho would finish the day with four hits. Jacob Dickson had a pair of hits for the 'Dons.
Tyler Haas had two hits for Bowling Green. The Falcons used seven pitchers. Damon Egnor got the win for the Falcons. Jeremy Spezia got the save.
The 'Dons travel to NDSU on Friday to open a three-game Summit League series.
