Four Top Five Finishes Push 'Dons at GVSU Bob Eubanks Open

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team took home four top five finishes and a seventh place overall finish with 28 points at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open on Friday (Jan.10).
Junior Sammy Moran led the way with a third place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:27.13. Weston Miser took home fourth place in the 800m run and Michael Oliver finished fifth (8:59.41) in the 3000m run.
Ben Marano made his way through the 400m dash with a personal best time of 50.88 and a fifth place finish and Brent Donaldson made his collegiate debut with a 17th place finish (52.99).
The overall winner for the meet was Aquinas with 106 points.
Purdue Fort Wayne will return back to the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse on Jan. 18 for the Mastodon Invitational. Before the meet, seniors Alex Barton, Robert Peck and Austin Rockstroh will be recognized as the meet will also be Senior Day. Events will begin at 11 a.m.
