Teams: Ashland, Bethany, California (Pa.), Canisius, Carlow, Carnegie Mellon, Detroit Mercy, Duquesne, Edinboro, Franciscan (Ohio), Geneva, Grove City, Indiana (Pa.), John Carroll, Lake Erie, Malone, Ohio Dominican, Pitt Johnstown, Point Park, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris, Seton Hill, Slippery Rock, Tiffin, Ursuline, Walsh, Waynesburg, West Liberty, West Virginia Wesleyan, Westminster (Pa.), Wheeling University and Windsor.
What To Watch For
The Mastodons are coming into the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational after breaking a school record in the men's 4x400m relay and celebrating Senior Day at the Mastodon Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 18). Not only did Brent Donaldson, Connor West, Ben Marano and Braxton Trittipo break the school record for the men's 4x400m relay (3:28.01), but they also defeated Wabash by a full two seconds, finishing in first place. Austin Rockstroh finished his Senior Day with a sixth place finish in the 5000m run and a personal best time of 16:54.38. Naimah Slaughter concluded the day in first place for the long jump and had a mark of 5.59m. She also competed in the high jump and finished with a mark of 1.63m and was second overall. Ally Bailey made her way through the 400m run and took second place (59.34). Seniors Alex Barton, Robert Peck, Austin Rockstroh, Ally Bailey, Savannah Girolami, Lexi O'Connell and Elana Kayser were recognized before the first event for Senior Day. Future Horizon League foe, Detroit Mercy, will be in attendance at the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational.
