What To Watch For
Purdue Fort Wayne track and field will be entering the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships Presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare after setting 19 school records this year, 13 on the men's side and six on the women's side. Luke Beehler, Ben Marano and Nick Derickson broke their own records more than once throughout the season. Ally Bailey and Makaila Groves have broke more than one record this season on the women's side. Last year at the Summit League Championships, Lexi O'Connell, Savannah Girolami, Bailey and, then-senior, Olivia Coleman set the school record in the 4x400m relay (3:56.79). The 4x400m relay record was broken this year at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 3:55.20.

On the men's side, Chris Nilsen from South Dakota holds the nations best mark in pole vault and is ranked third in the world for the event with a mark of 5.93m. Nilsen and eight other student-athletes are ranked in the top-25 nationally in their respective events. For women's track and field, North Dakota is seeking to achieve their 13th consecutive team title. South Dakota's pole vault team is entering the championship with the top event squad ranking. Five women are currently ranked in the top-25 nationally for their respective events.

Purdue Fort Wayne track and field will return to action on Friday (March 13) and Saturday (March 14) to begin their outdoor season at the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Conway S.C. Events will begin at 10 a.m. ET.
