DENVER - The 'Dons head to Denver for the first meeting of the season with the Pioneers.

Denver has one league win on the season, a 91-76 decision over Omaha at home on Jan. 18. Saturday's game will be played in Hamilton Gymnasium, it will be the first time the 'Dons play in venue typically used for women's basketball and women's volleyball. The Mastodon women's basketball team will play Denver prior to the men's contest on Saturday.
THE SERIES
The 'Dons lead the all-time series 10-2. Purdue Fort Wayne has won four straight in the series. Denver's only two wins have come Feb. 15, 2014 in Fort Wayne and Feb. 4, 2017 at Denver.

• The 'Dons forced a season-high 21 turnovers against a Division I opponent on Wednesday against Western Illinois.
• The Mastodons connected on a season-high 21 free throws on Wednesday vs. Western Illinois. Marcus DeBerry set career bests for free throw attempts (6) and made free throws (5).
• Deonte Billups has finished in double-digits in six of his last eight games. This stretch, which starts with the Jan. 8 game at WIU, has seen him twice score 19 points. He has also twice grabbed seven rebounds made a season-best four 3-pointers at South Dakota. He also went 7-of-7 from the free throw line at home against WIU.
• Deonte Billups' 8.5 points per game stands as the most a Mastodon freshman has averaged since John Konchar averaged 13.0 as a freshman in 2015-16. Worth noting, Konchar was a redshirt freshman in 2015-16 while Billups is a true freshman.
