Several Mastodons Place in Top Five at SVSU Classic

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field team placed in the top five in nine events at the SVSU Classic in University Center, Mich. on Friday, Jan. 14.
Top performers for the Mastodons included Cody Loshe, who finished second in the pole vault (4.24 meters), Cory Waldron, who took third in the 600-meter run (1:25.89) and Zyler Johnson, who finished third in the weight throw (15.80 meters).
The men's 4 by 400 team that consisted of Brent Donaldson, Nicolas Blair, Braxton Trittipo, and Joe Cartwright finished third (3:25.94).
Drake Kropf (1:58.29) was fourth in the 800-meter run, Austin Dove placed fourth in the men's high jump (1.88 meters), Kehinde Oladapo finished fourth in the one-mile run (4:21.29), Dona Fagnon (8.61 seconds) and Brent Donaldson (8.62 seconds) were fourth and fifth in the 60-meter hurdles finals, and Luke Beehler finished fifth in the long jump (6.72 meters).
The men's track & field team will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Mastodon Opener presented by Three Rivers Running Club at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
