'Dons Hit the Road to Take on Detroit Mercy

FORT WAYNE Ind. - The Mastodon men's soccer team heads to the Mitten for the first time this season to take on the Detroit Mercy Titans.

Series History
Since joining the Horizon League in 2020, the 'Dons have split down the middle with the Detroit Mercy Titans 1-1-0. Luke Benford and Logan Lee are two of the four Mastodons that scored against the Titans in the spring 2021 season. The Titans lead the all-time series 13-4-4.
Know Your Foe
The Titans defeated Northern Kentucky 4-3 last week, with the three goals coming from Ryan Pierson, Samory Powder and John Nino. Overall the Titans are 2-1-2 at home this season. The Titans own ties with Cleveland State, Green bay and IUPUI in league play.
Looking Back
The Mastodons are coming off a close loss to the Wright State Raiders 2-1. Luke Benford was able to strike against the Raiders, putting the Mastodons on the board in the second half of the game. Adam Hunt had eight saves in the contest.

Luke Benford has raised his season points total to nine with four goals and one assist. The efficient Benford has done so with seven shots on goal on the season. He has eight goals in his three-year Mastodon career.
