Cross Country Heads to Illinois for the Bradley Pink Classic

FORT WAYNE Ind. - The men's and women's cross country teams are scheduled to travel to Bradley University to compete in the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday.

Men - Event History
The last time the Mastodons participated in the Bradley Pink Classic was in 2018. The men's team was able to head home with a first place finish in the white division.
Men - Last Time Out
The 'Dons are also coming off of a strong finish at the Live in Lou classic where Husam Saleh was able to set a new program record in the 8K with a time of 24:58.4. At the Live in Lou Classic, the Mastodons were able to average 25:16 as a team, the best ever for an 8K race in program history. The 'Dons sent a team to the Bethel Invite last week where Colten Gasson earned the Horizon League Runner and Freshman of the Week honor.

About the Course
The Newman Golf Course is a USTFCCCA certified course and has hosted the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The men's 8k course consists of the initial 2,000m loop, followed by the inner 2000m loop repeated three times before heading into the finish straightaway. The first 2,000m loop is run once and mostly flat while the second 2,000m loop consists of rolling hills.
