FORT WAYNE Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's and women's cross country teams will head to Terre Haute, Indiana to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday.

Horizon League Championships
The Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country team took third on Oct. 29 at the 2022 Horizon League Championships. Four Mastodons finished in the top 25, including Andrew Whitinger, Nicholas Mills, Austin Hall, and Nathan Mills. This third-place finish by the 'Dons was the best ever finished at a league meet, including time as both a Division I and Division II program.
The women's team also had a very successful finish at the 2022 Horizon League Championships, taking home fifth place. This fifth place finish by the 'Dons was the best team performance in a league meet since taking home second at the 2008 Summit League meet. Brooke Neal earned All-Horizon First Team honors for the first time in her career.

About the Course
The LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course features a challenging, yet manageable, mix of uphill and downhill sections and its simple straightaway start that stretches for nearly the first kilometer before a turn. The course has also hosted 13 NCAA Championships, four MVC Championships, and the Indiana Intercollegiate seven times.
