Two School Records Fall For Mastodon Women at Indiana Tech Meet

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Jesseca Hudson-Turpin and Jai Reed each set a school record for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team at the Strive For Greatness Invitational on Saturday (Dec. 10) hosted by Indiana Tech.
Hudson-Turpin set her record in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.59, good for second place on Saturday. Reed set a 60 meters record with a time of 7.67, also good for second place.
Makaila Groves earned first in the 800 meters (2:24.39).
Nakia Harris-Campbell was second in the shot put (11.84 meters). Freshmen Marissa Van De Weg (1:01.78) and Madeline McClerren (1:01.82) were second and third in the 400 meters.
In the 200 meters, Dylan Kirkwood earned third (25.86). Sophia Buck also had a third place finish in the 600 meters (1:42.33).
The 'Dons are back in action on Jan. 6 at the Illini Classic.
