FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The men's and women's Purdue Fort Wayne track teams are heading to Illinois to take part in the Illini Classic on Friday, January 6.

Women's Preview
Jesseca Hudson-Turpin and Jai Reed each set a school record for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team at the Strive For Greatness Invitational on Saturday (Dec. 10) hosted by Indiana Tech. Hudson-Turpin set her record in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.59, good for second place. Reed set a 60 meters record with a time of 7.67, also good for second place. Reed will compete in the 60 meters, 200 meters and long jump at Illinois on Friday. Hudson-Turpin will compete in the 60 hurdles and 200 meters.
Men's Preview
Braxton Trittipo and Cain Hohne each set a new school record at Indiana Tech. Hohne won the high jump with a mark of 2.04 meters, besting the school record set two weeks back. Trittipo used a time of 22.33 for a new school record in the 200 meters, putting him in sixth place. Hohne will compete in the high jump at Illinois. Trittipo will be in the 200 and 400 meters.
