FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne track and field teams will head to the Strive for Greatness Invitational hosted by Indiana Tech, Saturday (Dec. 10).

Looking Back:
The 'Dons opened up the indoor track season at home with the Mastodon Opener on Saturday, December 3. Katie Clark set a new 600 meters school record with a time of 1:37.91, finishing second in the event. Three freshmen took the top three spots in the 400 meters. Madeline McClerren won the event (1:02.02). Marissa Van De Weg (1:03.28) and Aubrey Haas (1:06.41) followed. Dylan Kirkwood finished second in the pentathlon.
On the men's side, Cain Hohne set the school record in a first place performance in the high jump (2.02 meters). Another program record was set by Carter Lewis for shot put with a toss of 15.60 meters.

The Mastodon men's and women's track and field teams are looking forward to hosting the 2023 Horizon League Indoor championships February 25-26.
Up Next
The men's and women's teams will be crossing the state line to participate in the Illini Classic on Friday, January 6.
