Mastodons Finish Up Day One at the Big Meet and Doug Raymond Invitational

KENT, Ohio. / ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Purdue Fort Wayne track & field teams finished up day one of the GVSU Big Meet and Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday, Feb. 11.
Doug Raymond Invitational
For the first time in program history, the men's track & field team completed an indoor 4 by 800 meter relay race with a time of 8:16.42. Jarred Neff, Cory Waldron, Kobe Milledge, and Bryce Taylor competed in the 4 by 800. The time will stand as a program record.
Top field event results included Ninti Little, who finished in sixth in the women's long jump (5.68 meters), Zyler Johnson in the men's weight throw (15.44 meters), and Luke Beehler in 11th in the men's long jump (6.68 meters).
Top track event results included the women's 4 by 800 team of Brooke Neal, Brayden Langdon, Kathy Potter, and Makaila Groves which took third (10:01.63). Jesseca Hudson-Turpin (8.92 seconds) and Brent Donaldson (8.62 seconds) finished in ninth in the men's and women's 60-meter hurdle prelims. Noah Wright was 12th in the men's 5,000 meter run (16:29.05), and Braxton Trittipo was 14th in the men's 200 meter dash (22.73 seconds).
Big Meet
On day one of the GVSU Big Meet, the Mastodons were led by Madison King, who finished second in the third heat of the women's 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:19.91. The time is a personal best and ranks second in the Horizon League.
JT Hodges finished in 17th in the fifth heat of the men's 5,000 meter run (15:18.13). Kehinde Oladapo took 51st in the men's 800 meter run (1:54.48). Husam Saleh was 57th in the men's mile (4:21.96) and Weston Miser finished in 80th place in the men's 800 meter run (1:58.72). The times for Hodges, Oladapo, and Saleh were personal records
