Donaldson Breaks Program Record in 60-Meter Hurdles at ISU Open

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field athlete Brent Donaldson broke the program record in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday, Feb. 19 at the ISU Open.
Donaldson broke the record in the 60-meter hurdle prelims at 8.39 seconds. He breaks Dona Fagnon's previous record of 8.40 seconds, which was set on Feb. 26, 2021.
In the 60-meter hurdle finals, Donaldson finished tied for third (8.40 seconds) and Fagnon was sixth (8.51 seconds).
In addition, Fagnon won the 200-meter dash at 22.99 seconds while Donaldson finished in second at 23.14 seconds.
Braxton Trittipo (50.62 seconds) was second and Joe Cartwright (50.68 seconds) tied for third in the 400-meter dash. JT Hodges was second in the 3,000-meter run (8:46.54). Kobe Milledge was third in the 800-meter run (1:57.46). Hodges (4:26.23) and Draven Thompson (4:26.44) were third and fourth in the mile. Austin Dove took fifth in the high jump (1.90 meters).
As a team, the Mastodons finished second out of seven teams with 75 points. Indiana State won the meet with 194 points.
The Mastodons travel to Youngstown, Ohio for the Horizon League Championships on Saturday and Sunday Feb. 26 and 27.
