Track & Field Prepares for Horizon League Championships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne track & field teams travel to Youngstown, Ohio to compete in the Horizon League Championships on Saturday and Sunday Feb. 26 & 27.
The Mastodons look to improve on their finish from last year. The men's team finished in sixth, the women's team tied for fifth.

Top Men's Marks In The Horizon League
In sprint events, Brent Donaldson is seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.39 seconds), Braxton Trittipo is seventh in the 400-meter dash (49.83 seconds), and Dona Fagnon is ninth in the 60-meter dash (7.02 seconds) and 60-meter hurdles (8.51 seconds).
In mid-distance events, Kehinde Oladapo (1:54.44) and Kobe Milledge (1:56. 19) are sixth and 11th in the 800-meter run.
In long distance events, Oladapo (14:52.10), and Nathan Mills (14:53.10) are 12th and 13th in the 5,000 meter run.
In relays, the men's 4 by 400 meter team of Donaldson, Trittipo, Nicolas Blair, and Joe Cartwright, is third (3:22.06). The men's distance medley relay team of Oladapo, Milledge, Weston Miser, and Husam Saleh is also third (10:16.85).
In field events, Zyler Johnson (16.88 meters) and Asher Walden (16.35 meters) are fifth and sixth in the weight throw. Cody Loshe (4.35 meters) and Brejion Peters (3.94 meters) are seventh and 12th in the pole vault. Luke Beehler is ninth in the long jump (6.94 meters). Austin Dove is 10th in the men's high jump (1.95 meters) and Johnson is 10th in the shot put (14.33 meters).
Kai Auernheimer (4,255) and Logan Alexander (3,555) are second and sixth in the heptathlon.

In sprint events, Jordan Yanders (8.76 seconds) and Jesseca Hudson-Turpin (8.82 seconds) are fourth and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles, Katie Clark is eighth in the women's 400-meter dash (57.90 seconds), and Jai Reed is ninth in the women's 60-meter dash (7.71 seconds).
In mid-distance events, Madison King is ninth in the mile (5:07.02).
In long distance events, King is second in the 5,000 meter run (17:19.91), and fourth in the 3,000 meter run (10:04.27)
In relays, the distance medley relay team of Brooke Neal, Brayden Langdon, Kathy Potter, and King is third (12:24.54), and the women's 4 by 400 meter team of Sophia Buck, Hudson-Turpin, Dylan Kirkwood, and Clark are fifth (4:03.54).
