FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball team travels to Lebanon, Ill. for a Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association match against McKendree on Saturday, March 26.

Thursday's match will be the 16th all-time meeting between the Mastodons and Bearcats. Of the first 15 matches, eight of them went to five sets, including three of the last six matches. The 'Dons won the last match 3-2 back on Feb. 26, 2022 at the Gates Sports Center on Arnie Ball Court. The last time the 'Dons won in Lebanon, Ill. was back on April 7, 2018 in a five set match.
The Bearcats enter Saturday's match with an 11-8 overall record and received 12 votes in the AVCA poll. The Bearcats are coming off a five set win against Loyola Chicago on Thursday, March 24 in Chicago, Ill. With a 6-3 record in conference, the Bearcats are third in the MIVA standings.
Offensively, the Bearcats are led by Ethan Carroll and Patrick Ross. Carroll leads in total kills (255) and kills per set (3.49). He hits .209. He was last week's MIVA Offensive Player of the Week. Ross is second in total kills (242) and kills per set (3.41). He owns a .309 attack percentage. Ross is the only athlete hitting over .300 with more than 200 attack attempts on the Bearcats roster. Ryan Serrano leads in assists per set (9.86). He is third in digs per set (1.82) and was awarded MIVA Defensive Player of the Week back on Feb. 22. Francisco Comas leads in digs per set (2.08).

The Mastodons return to the St. Louis area for a pair of MIVA matches. The 'Dons first play against Quincy on Thursday, Match 31 (8 p.m.) in Quincy, Ill. Following Thursday's match, the 'Dons travel to St. Charles, Mo. for a match against Lindenwood on Saturday, April 2 (3 p.m.)
