'Dons Drop Game at Indiana 12-2

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Mastodon baseball team fell 12-2 at Indiana on Wednesday (March 9). The Purdue Fort Wayne offense worked seven walks and five hits. The 'Dons had chances with base runners in seven of the nine innings. However, the 'Dons finished the game with 12 runners left on base.
The Mastodons were trailing 4-0 in the sixth inning when they made it a 4-1 game. Brian Erbe singled in Braedon Blackford from third. Unfortunately for the 'Dons, it didn't stay 4-1 for very long. The Hoosiers scored three in their half of the sixth and four in the seventh to open up the contest.
The Mastodons' second run came in the eighth. The 'Dons loaded the bases and Jack Lang worked a walk to score Karter Hann.
GAME NOTES
» Blackford notched three walks to move his on-base streak to 10 games.
» Lang and Jarrett Bickel both had a double and a walk.
» Rex Stills earned his first career start and went 2.0 innings, allowing one run. He took the loss and is 0-1.
