'FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne softball team got three hits out of freshman Brayden Lickey in a 7-1 loss to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies on Friday (April 1).
Sophomore Alyson Quinlan (0-2) got the ball to start for Purdue Fort Wayne (4-22, 3-6) and took the loss despite a full game in the circle.
In addition to her three hits, Lickey had an RBI to lead the Mastodons.
The Mastodons got on the scoreboard first, starting in the second inning. Purdue Fort Wayne got an RBI single from Lickey, scoring senior Emma McMillan from third base. The Mastodons were unable to hold the lead, as Oakland scored seven times over the remaining five innings to grab the 7-1 win.
