
Ninti Little Breaks Women's Long Jump Record

MUNCIE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne women's track & field student athlete Ninti Little broke the school record in the women's long jump at the We Fly Challenge on Saturday, April 16.
Little's jump of 5.55 meters broke the previous record of 5.53 meters, which was set by Olivia Coleman. Little placed third overall in the event.
In mid-distance/distance events, Madison King (4:45.20), and Kathy Potter (4:53.96) finished first and sixth in the 1500-meter run. Brooke Neal (11:39.06) finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Makaila Groves took seventh (2:23.76) in the 800-meter run.
In field events, Miranda Haney (1.61 meters), Kelsey Shatava (1.51 meters) and Allyssa Hennessey (1.46 meters) placed first, second and third in the high jump.
The Mastodons will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23 to compete in the Gibson Invitational, hosted by Indiana State.
